    Well…..

apparently the estrogen levels just rose in our house by about 15 ounces!!

    She’s beautiful.
    and perfectly healthy.

My heart especially stuck on, “perfectly healthy!”

So grateful for God’s goodness to us.

The sono tech said she wasn’t 100% about the gender… [and you know I'm cautious about sono tech's] ;)
we’ll probably have another in a month or so to confirm.

But for now – we’re going with it! :)

[I sat pouring over a name book for hours last night- any suggestions on names that have a cool meaning, particularly pertaining to Life/Light/or God's grace, shoot them my way.]

I think I’m still silently screaming inside at the thought of another girl!
Partly in excitement, partly in freaked out-edness. :) More on that later.

Thanks so much for all the well wishes and especially prayers.

This little one might still have a slight question mark as to what it is..
but one things for certain – it could not be more loved or welcomed!

“The Lord has remembered us; and blessed us.
I love the Lord.. He is gracious and merciful and abounding in steadfast love.”
    Ps. 115:12/ 145:8

  • :) YAY!! Congratulations on this precious new life.

  • Congrats, Amber!  Being the mom of 4 girls and 1 boy, I understand your excitement and “freaked out-edness” completely!  So happy for you!

  • I had just checked my universal inbox for something from Hutch5…er…6…and there wasn’t anything.
So I thought that I would stop by with a little…”Hey, I’m baaaack! Can hardly wait for your news!”
    And here it is!!!

Congratulations on your daughter!!! A girl!?! So happy and excited for you all! What are the kids sayin’ ?
I just love her little foot and face and you know. It’s just all sooo precious.

    squeals and hugs.

  • The profile is JUST beautiful.

Can’t wait to see her IRL!

    Love you, Ambs!

  • CONGRATS! SO EXCITED FOR YOU~ Girls are the Best!

  • Congratulations!!!  I think you should name her Elizabeth! =) Just a suggestion!  lol.  I bet everyone is so excited!

  • (excited squeals!!) YAY for another beautiful daughter! Sooo happy for you, and can’t wait to see her when she is here! Such an amazing thing, those sonogram pictures. What a cute little profile she has!;o)
    have fun on the names!

  • being completely biased my name ‘janel’ *also spelled janelle* means either God’s gracious gift or Gracious gift of God. just an idea. soooo glad to hear that healthy part…PRAISE GOD!!!

  • Congrats on another girl.  I’ll admit to kinda rooting for a boy (I just love boys!), but you do have beautiful, and by all accounts amazing, little girls, so another girl is a blessing!

Like Janel, my full name – Janina – means God’s gracious gift.  It is pronounced “Jan-EE-nu”.  I haven’t always loved my name, but I do now.  I have heard of only 2 other people with my name, which is kinda special, too!

  • Another little girl to aid in guiding her heart toward God.  Such an honor!  So humbling!

  • She is beautiful! And if the tech is mistaken then this little boy is also beautiful!! This technology was not available 44 years ago when our last one was born so it really makes me marvel that this wee one can be seen and isn’t this wonderful beyond words! Gracious gift indeed……hey Grace would be a nice name………………..

  • So very happy for you!  Picking a name is always so much fun- the internet is a great place to look.  We have always used Bible names and I found a bible baby name website that had all the names in the bible, which made it very convenient!

I bet Emma is beyond thrilled at the idea of having a little sister!

  • Yay! I’m so happy for you all! Congrats!

  • Ohh, congrats!!! How exciting!!

  • Yay!!!  Congratulations!!! :) :) :)

  • Congratulations!!! I love the name Grace, but my sister-in-law named my niece Grace, so that one is taken in our family. But I still love the name!

  • All smiles here!  Girls are SO fun!!  Of course, I don’t know any different……only having 1 girl.  LOL

    Congrats Amber!!!  And family!!

  • and she has your nose!

  • Congratulations!  You must be so thrilled.  Praising God with you!

  • Haha, wow, so exciting!!

  • Oh, she’s so gorgeous! So excited to meet this new little girl! Thinking of names… I’ll be back if I think of a good one. :)

  • congratulations! looks like she is just as gorgeous as the rest of you!
when caroline was born, and i knew we had a girl….”excited and freaked outedness” was just what i felt. i still feel that when i look at her! girls are scarey to me.

  • Congrats on the new babe girl! Since you sporadically your symptoms throughout your posts, I kind of had an idea that it would be a girl. But you never know!

The Lord certainly had you and your family in His hearts when the doctors told you those two magical words, “perfectly healthy…” I can see how that could get to you!

As for names: Someone mentioned Grace (I second that!)

    Congrats again! <3

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKK!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D I’M SO SO SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! :D CONGRATS!! I know she’ll be beautiful like her mama!

    Love you!

    yls~

  • @Elizabethmarie_1 -

Elisabeth is actually one of my VERY favorite names, and everyone I’ve known by that name has only increased its appeal for me, so I’d vote for it!

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Another girl will be so exciting! And I bet you still have some girl things…

Terry and I are “peekers,” too. Terry LOVES surprise, though, to the degree that he gets downright angry if someone gives clues about what will happen in a movie, book, or Christmas gift. Once I asked him why he didn’t feel that way about keeping the baby’s gender a secret, and his response was the same as yours. He said, “I just don’t see how the surprise of the gender could make the experience any more awesome than it is!” I’m glad he feels that way, because I definitely like finding out ahead of time!!! Knowing what to expect makes things more exciting for me, and decreases anxiety because I can plan ahead. I want to have my “ducks in a row,” as much as possible, BEFORE the baby is born, not after delivery, with a newborn on my hands!

  • Awwwww. What a precious little button nose! :)   She’s beautiful- and has already had her first black/white portrait session. :) A true “Hutch” :) )))

So, what names are you considering? I love the whole name choosing process….probably why I have four kiddo’s that was 8 names to choose! :)

Hugs and congrats and lots of squeals of happiness! -Cass

  • awe…how precious!! what a miracle!!!

  • congratulations!!!  Loved the ultrasound pictures.  Isn’t it amazing.  Savor the blessing!!!  God is faithful.

  • yea for pink!!! Its the season for girls I tell ya. There is something amazing about holding that little likeness of yourself (another girl). Its just different than a baby boy and amazing and humbling. Somebody’s momma- wife – the bearer of your grandbabies most likely. Precious. I’m so happy for you.
Hey, for what its worth – I never know who decides what name means what but one little book that we have said Ellie meant God’s shining light!!!! I love that. Our little Ellie has been nothing short of a bright sunshine in our family. We’d be happy to share the name.

If I had it to do again I might name her elisabeth and call her ellie – but I just really loved Ellie – just short and sweet – like she is. Except she’s kind of tall…….. and sweet :) . Look forward to hearing what you decide. Congrats on a miracle.

  • Sweet! I’ve always dreamed of having a little girl some day. I adore my two boys and they bring me no end of joy. But I have got to say, if I was going to raise a one gender family, I just always imagined it would be all girls. :) I have two sisters, no brothers … somehow I thought that’s how life works. ;) Congratulations on that baby girl!

  • Congratulations on another girl! That’s wonderful

  • Sweet sweet news!

Your Faithfulness is playing right now~ I’m just gonna sit and soak it in a bit~ thank you.

  • Congratulations!  I decided that my guess for you was BOY…hee…but guess not!  Ok, I’m clueless, why the slight freaking-out about having another girl? My girl is 1.5, so I really don’t have mothering experience w/ a daughter. :)   Anyway…I’m sure she and Emma will be great pals!  It amazed me how fast my young children and babies started playing together.  By 5-6 months, the baby’s sitting up and the other kids were having a blast showing them toys and entertaining them. :)   Excited for you!

  • Congratulations on expecting a daughter! How precious!

  • Oh, she is so beautiful…or he. I am sure that will be great to have a confirming sonogram. I know the BEST is hearing healthy. Even 16 years ago with David sonograms were not so common. They did one to see that the baby was healthy when they couldn’t find the heartbeat, but it was too early to know his sex. They never did another one. I did have two different men praying for me and my health at separate times look up and say they thought God was saying it was a boy. So I expected another boy…and that’s what I got. I wondered if God was being gracious to me as I had so many, “OH, so you are having a girl!” comments.

  • I’m so happy for you and esp happy that she is healthy!! Have fun with the names, I would share my favorites but since I don’t have kids yet, I don’t really want everyone knowing my favorite ones. =)

  • AMAZING sono pictures, Amber. Congrats to you!

  • Oh, how wonderful! Congratulations!! Love her (possibly his {grin}) little sweet profile!!

  • So excited for you – Congrats!

  • i have no name suggestions.  only shouts of hallelujahs…for giving you the desires of your heart!  i. am. so. happy. for. you.

  • Eliana—God has heard our cry

  • Oh you are such a perfect mama for girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited to meet her!

  • I am so happy for you! Girls are so fun as babies! I loved seeing my babies’ feet on the sonogram! It made them seem much more real! As for names, Jessica means Grace of God and also Wealthy in Hebrew. However, I also really like Grace or Eliana as suggested above.

  • God is so good!!

I have felt from the beginning it’s a little girl, but who knows? I could be wrong!

What an exciting time!! What is  your due date?

Names………I love so many…………Hailey, Emery, Emerson, Daye, Dawn, Liberty.

  • Across oceans, seas and land you and your pre-born babyphoto’s bring tears to my eyes…beautiful…You are so blessed among women now, Amber…I am happy for you that all is well and growing good.

    Lieve groeten Godeliva van Ariadone

  • So glad God is blessing you this special way!! Precious precious!!

Love the “your faithfulness” song……..spoke to me.

Have a special and extra WONDERFUL day. ~ Di

  • Those are amazing pictures! So happy for you!
I think the name Anna (meaning Grace) Lucia (meaning Light) would be beautiful.

  • I am happy, happy, happy for you! Yep she is beautiful! I love that little foot! Hannah means grace – a gift from God. I love that name. We named our first girl Hannah Beth. It’s a wonderful name.

  • WOW GOD is so Good ~ Congrats on another girl I have two girls and one boy and I love them all very much but the girls just melt me! So for my name vote

AMANDA : Love, worthy of Love, PRESIOUS thing *ISABELLA: God is My Consecration. *ABIGAIL:  Fathers Joy *NAOMI: Pleasant, delightful, Beautiful

  • how fun! I’m so excited for you! So is a girl what you thought it was going to be?
As for names I always like simple but different. What about Hallelujah? I have a friend who’s named that and they call her Hallie for short. Here’s some other ideas and most of them mean light/grace….Esther, Zoe, Rae, Gloriel, Eden, Gloriana, Evie, Aili, Meira=light in heb, Zara, Avner, Hadley, Lia, and Josie. Can you tell I love looking up names? :P

  • Congratulations! What a blessing. Tell your son not to give up…my son didn’t get a brother until number 5 !!!
Girls/Boys…both so different but so much fun too!

  • I still remember what your Mom said about naming the baby Lazarus cuz he/she was practically raised back to life!  Could you work that in somehow?  That would be a super cool story for her to be able to tell for years and years.

So happy and excited for you!

  • Can’t wait to meet her =] I think Grace is a pretty cool name too ;]

thanks for your little note sun. – I love YOU!

Hope you enjoy May 20, 2010

  • Oh Amber, I am soooo excited for you!!!! You’ve been in my prayers all along, but I’m soooo thrilled that all is well, regardless if the wee gift is a boy or girl. Though, with 5 girls and 1 boy, here at our house, it’s kind of a fun dynamic! Girl names: Clara means: bright/luminous. We have a Clara, our youngest daughter, and she’s Clara Faith Noel (Bright/luminous faith born at Christmas–and she was a December baby, just in case you were wondering). Kyriana means “the Lord is Gracious” (we have a Kyriana Hope) and Eliana means “God has answered my prayers” (we have an Eliana Joy). I know the Lord will give you a name for this precious gift you’re carrying, and it’ll be perfect! Blessings……

  • Congrats! She truly is beautiful. It is always such a blessing to see those little baby profiles. I have an eleven month old daughter named Grace. We adore her. Grace(the name) is simple, sweet, and has a wonderful meaning. We nearly named her Clara, which I have always loved as well. There were just to many R’s. Our last name is Rogers. I am sure you will choose the perfect name.

  • Yay! What a BEAUTIFUL little baby! I like how {Hutch 6} looks! I HIGHLY recommend http://www.thinkbabynames.com! You can type in a word and it’ll search for a girl (or boy) name that has that meaning. That’s how I found my baby girl, Leala’s name. I wanted a name that meant “faithful,” so I typed that word in the search and the name I ended up choosing appeared in the results. Just yesterday I was on there for fun, daydreaming a bit.

  • oooh….she is preeeecious!! ultrasound pix always make me a little weepy feeling….they are soooo precious and truly depict the miracle of human life!!  i loooove them! i just want to squeeze her! :) congratulations!! :) luv.

  • YAY FOR GIRLS!!! :D

    How about these:

Amelia : work of the Lord
    Shilo : God’s Gift
    Eva : Life

  • Congratulations, Amber!  I am so thrilled for you and your family!  Little girls are wonderful. :)

  • We are very happy for you and Shane.

Children are a heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is HIS reward.

  • Praising God for the good news!  It is so neat how God chooses our families.  I have 5 boys and 1 girl in the middle.  When we had our 6th, my little girl cried at first, then we talked about how God knew He needed a boy for a special job in the future, so that’s why He gave us another boy.  She was great with that and never got upset again.  Also, I told her she would always be the princess.  I am the yourngest of 4 girls in my fam, and having a bunch of sisters is awesome, especially when you are older.  You always have a friend!  Take care of yourself.  May God bless you and your household!!! ~ Deborah

  • How precious! :) congratulations!

    ~hugs~
    Lanitha

  • Oh how exciting!!! I’m so happy for you! You are a great writer and photographer. I love coming over here for a visit. :o )

  • That’s why we named Kristiana, Kristiana….Christ like (light bearer) ana…full of grace….(after having to lie in bed for 5 months carrying her)!! Lael is her middle name..means belongs to God. :D
Christian Michael was our “boy name” (the one we lost right before coming to Indy)

  • Thanks for the kind works and stopping by the blog. It’s been so long since I have actually been able to look at other peoples blogs. Congrats on the newest addition. Have a fantastic holiday weekend.

  • COngrats on another perfect little girl! Oh I can so relate! We just had Liora (which by the way means the gift of God’s light….) you could always use Liorah ;) anyway….we have Jonah and his 3 sisters and it freaks me out a bit to think of raising 3 girls to be Godly….I didn’t have the best example of a Godly mother, but I did have others that were great examples in my life, so it’s been a rough road finding my place as a Christian mother. But God’s grace on me and my family is so amazing and so overwhelming! I know you will do an amazing job of raising another little ballerina!!!!
